LeadingAge PA kicked off its 2019 Annual Conference + EXPO by recognizing this year's Distinguished Service Award recipients. Established in 1973, these awards honor the exemplary work performed by individuals or groups from member organizations who are enhancing the aging services field through their involvement, innovation, leadership or advocacy.

Saint Mary's Home of Erie announces the departure of Sister Phyllis McCracken, SSJ as President/CEO effective June 30, 2019. Sister Phyllis leaves Saint Mary's after 35 years of ministry to assume an elected role of Leadership with the Sisters of St. Joseph of Northwestern Pennsylvania. The organization's Board of Trustees has named Allen L. Bonace, Chief Operating Officer, as her successor effective June 1, 2019.
Recently, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued a Request for Information (RFI) seeking new ideas from the public on how to continue the progress of the Patients over Paperwork initiative. Public feedback will shape initiative's next steps and future progress in tackling unnecessary burden on healthcare providers.
