Vaccines

  • HHS issued a fifth amendment to the Declaration under the Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act (PREP Act) to add additional categories of qualified persons authorized to prescribe, dispense, and administer COVID-19 vaccines authorized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Note that this is not specific to the Pharmacy Partnership for LTC. (Feb. 1)
  • LeadingAge PA sent a letter with Governor Wolf, Sec. Levine, Sec. Miller, & Director Wiessman requesting that all senior living facilities in a congregate setting are included in the first doses of the vaccine. (Dec. 17)
  • CDC updated their PPLTC FAQs to clarify that states may opt to include CCRCs and HUD  202s in its CVS/Walgreens partnership program.  LeadingAge PA has been reaching out to the Governor’s Office and DOH to urge them to expeditiously include these settings in the PA program.  We will provide updates as we learn more.
