Across the past decade in particular, the overall healthcare industry has seen significant activity in terms of partnerships, affiliations and overall consolidation. The not-for-profit senior living sector has followed this trend. The level of complexity of operating seniors housing has elevated in recent years as has the number of drivers for consolidation. Within senior living, the complexities of healthcare, leadership turnover, increased competition and labor pressures are among some of the greatest pressures that providers are feeling and are behind a number of the strategic conversations taking place. Lunch will be provided. The seminar is designed for Senior Leadership, CFOs, NHAs, Executive Directors, and BOMs.
The aim of the webinar is to openly discuss the trends in senior living and to note the strategic nature of many of the affiliation conversations taking place. The benefit of proactive, strategic planning will be noted. The presenter will identify common approaches to exploring affiliation opportunities and will present strategic questions for leadership teams and boards to discuss. Case studies will be presented regarding successful partnerships and affiliations. Additionally, the session will discuss lessons learned from peer providers and also warning signs of when a potential partnership might not be a fit for a particular organization.
