Director of Facilities Management

Position Description:

Peter Becker Community, a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Harleysville, PA, is seeking a hands-on dynamic Director to lead our Facilities Management team.  This role is responsible for ensuring the optimum efficiency and effectiveness of the Peter Becker Community Facilities Management Department.

Job responsibilities:

  • Develops department goals and policies; schedules and directs implementation of approved changes
  • Supervises and evaluates facilities management staff, transportation staff and security staff; guides and advises personnel to achieve optimum performance levels
  • Assures compliance with government regulations
  • Directs the repair, construction and reconstruction of the facility’s physical plans and its contents.
  • Plans and implements preventative and recurring facility and equipment maintenance
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining both Operational and Capital budgets.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years Facilities Management experience required, healthcare setting preferred
  • Weekend, evenings & holiday availability
  • Aptitude to work through complex and difficult situations with residents, staff and families
  • Positive and professional customer service approach with external and internal contacts
