Topic & Guest Speaker

Bridging the Continuum: The State of Affairs in PA Hospital Systems and Strengthening Partnerships with Aging Services

Join Nicole Stallings, President and CEO of the Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP), for a timely overview of the current operational landscape of hospital systems across the Commonwealth. This session will explore how evolving business models, financial pressures, Medicaid cuts, and policy priorities, are shaping hospital decision-making—and what that means for aging services providers.

As aging services and hospital systems increasingly intersect in care delivery, advocacy, and community health, this session will highlight opportunities for deeper collaboration. Participants will gain insights into shared legislative and policy challenges and engage in a forward-looking discussion on how our sectors can align efforts to improve outcomes for seniors, strengthen partnerships, and advocate more effectively.

This session is designed for senior living executives who want to better understand the hospital environment and identify actionable strategies for cross-sector collaboration.

Learning Objectives:

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  1. Analyze the current operational and strategic priorities of Pennsylvania’s hospital systems and evaluate their implications for aging services providers.
  2. Examine key intersections in legislative and health policy advocacy to identify opportunities for collaboration.
  3. Identify opportunities for collaboration between senior living providers and hospital systems to improve care delivery.
