Q: What drew you to working in senior services and, specifically, housing and policy? Coming from a human services background, I have seen firsthand how housing and policy impact seniors in the community. The number of seniors struggling with inadequate, unaffordable, or a lack of housing is alarming. Senior affordable housing is an essential component of community well-being, and I am glad to be a part of the solution.
Q: What are you most looking forward to contributing to LeadingAge PA in your role? I am looking forward to contributing my relationship-building skills to connect with members, legislators, and key stakeholders to create positive policy change for the senior service ecosystem.
Q: What is one thing you wish more people understood about affordable senior housing? Senior affordable housing is about more than just providing an apartment. Affordable housing communities foster connection, stability, and provide the opportunity for seniors to remain independent and age with dignity.
Q: What’s your favorite season and why? I love springtime! I enjoy gardening, hiking, camping, kayaking, rock climbing, and most forms of outdoor recreation. Spring is when I return to my favorite hobbies.
Q: If animals could talk, which animal would be the most annoying? My pet rabbit, Herbert. Herbert is extremely food-motivated and would constantly pester me for more kale.
Q: What is your favorite trip and why? In the summer of 2025, I visited Iceland with my partner. We spent the trip exploring the gorgeous waterfalls and coastlines of the Snæfellsnes peninsula. My favorite part of the trip was a six-mile hike around Glymur waterfall, including passing through a cave, two river crossings, and several rock scrambles. The views were breathtaking.
