What topic could you spend hours talking about? My children. My bonus son, daughter, and son are my world and consume my life, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

If you could choose a superpower, what would it be? The ability to time travel to the past, not to change it, but to relive joyous moments.

What is your favorite trip and why? My family’s two-week trip to Japan in 2007. It was a fantastic experience. I had the opportunity to meet family, experience the culture, and see my grandmother in her home country.

Tell us about one of your favorite traditions. Deer hunting. I began hunting when I was 12 years old, and since then, my family and I have spent the first few days of deer rifle season together, enjoying the sport and, most of all, time with each other. It is a family affair, including my father, mother, husband, and children.

Toshi Nelson has nearly 20 years of experience in broadcast journalism, public relations, strategic communications, media relations, and content development. As Communications Manager at LeadingAge PA, she uses her communications expertise to support Pennsylvania’s aging services sector, strengthen advocacy efforts, and raise awareness of the important work happening across aging services. She is passionate about turning complex information into clear, engaging messages and telling the stories of the people and organizations that serve older Pennsylvanians.

Nelson began her career in television news production in 2007, spending a decade as a news producer in Central Pennsylvania and Baltimore, Maryland. She later transitioned to communications and public relations roles in the corporate and nonprofit sectors before joining LeadingAge PA.

Nelson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
