National Director of Education

Throughout her 25-plus years of practice, Kathleen Weissberg, MS, OTD, OTR/L, CMDCP, CDP, has worked in rehabilitation and long-term care as an executive, researcher, and educator.  She has established numerous programs in nursing facilities; authored peer-reviewed publications on topics such as low vision, dementia quality care, and wellness; and spoken frequently at conferences, both nationally and internationally—including more than 25 LeadingAge state affiliates and 20-plus state health care associations. Additionally, as the national director of education for Select Rehabilitation, Weissberg provides continuing education support to over 17,000 therapists, nurses, and administrators nationwide. An adjunct professor at Duquesne University and Gannon University, she is a certified dementia care practitioner and a certified Montessori dementia care practitioner, who also serves as the Region 1 director for the American Occupational Therapy Association Political Affairs Affiliates.
