October 20, 2025

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (October 20, 2025) — LeadingAge PA has awarded its 2026 workforce development grants to nine member communities to enhance career pathways in aging services.

Eight providers will receive $6,000 each for paid internships, while one will get $50,000 for an Administrator-in-Training (AIT) program over the next two years. The internship grants support eight- to ten-week paid positions for students. The AIT grant funds the comprehensive training required for an individual to become a licensed nursing home administrator.

“These grants reflect our dedication to preparing the next generation of leaders in aging services,” said LeadingAge PA President & CEO Garry Pezzano. “By supporting these programs, we’re helping to build a stronger workforce and encourage more individuals to find purpose in serving older adults.”
