Fernecrest Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to Celebrate Completion of Welcome Center Cottage

October 30, 2025

MECHANICSBURG, PA — Messiah Lifeways® will hold a ribbon cutting and open house on Wednesday, November 19, celebrating the completion of its Welcome Center Cottage at Fernecrest—the upcoming 62+ community by Messiah Lifeways. Local media are invited to attend this milestone moment for our organization, which will be held on the Fernecrest property at 100 Spanglers Mill Road in York County.

Please note that this is an invite-only event, not open to the general public. Local dignitaries and government officials have also been invited to attend.

The program will begin at 1:00 pm, outside under a heated tent, with brief welcoming remarks. Key contributors will then participate in a ceremonial ribbon-cutting in front of the cottage before inviting guests inside to explore.

You will be among the first to step inside this beautifully built 1,200 sq. ft. Bluebird floorplan, which features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a 1.5-car garage.

Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be available for you to enjoy as you mingle and tour the cottage. Since portions of the event will take place outdoors, please plan your attire accordingly.
