White Horse Village Gets High Ranking from Newsweek

NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. (November 4, 2025) — White Horse Village, a continuing care retirement community offering independent living and healthcare services in southeastern Pennsylvania, was recently honored by Newsweek for its high quality.
In the recent list of America’s Best Nursing Homes for 2026, the community’s skilled nursing neighborhood was named No. 2 in the entire state of Pennsylvania for facilities with 50-99 beds, ahead of 15 other similar-sized communities.
There are many choices for seniors or their families looking for the best option, Newsweek noted. “With so many options available, narrowing the field can feel daunting.”
Newsweek partners with Statista to sort through more than 15,000 facilities nationwide, analyzing factors like performance data, peer recommendations, resident satisfaction, and accreditation, the publication reported. The recognized nursing homes “stood out for their commitment to safety, quality of care, and resident well-being.”
“We’re proud to be included in this list of high-performing communities,” said Michael Shaw, president & CEO of White Horse Village. “This isn’t a fluke. It’s a result of the hard work our team has put in and the quality of their service for residents.”
This is not the first time the community’s skilled services have been recognized. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) awarded White Horse Village a five-star rating, the highest possible, for outstanding care and service.
White Horse Village is also highly regarded for its personal care and memory care programs. These programs are adopting technological innovations to increase engagement, connection, and fulfillment, guided by the belief that technology can meaningfully enhance healthcare.
Thoughtful care and support extend beyond the walls of Healthcare. For example, a dementia support group for caregivers, offered in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, meets regularly and is free and open to the public.
