Presbyterian Senior Living Inducts Five into the Chairman’s Circle

November 20, 2025

Dillsburg, Pa. (November 17, 2025) – On October 29, 2025, Presbyterian Senior Living (PSL), the not-for-profit organization providing residential senior living and care services to more than 6,000 older adults in 27 locations across the mid-Atlantic region of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio and Delaware, inducted five new individuals into its distinguished Chairman’s Circle. More than 50 people attended the luncheon celebration at Allenberry in Boiling Springs, Pa.

Founded in 1988, the Chairman’s Circle honors individuals who have donated generously of their time, talent, and treasure to further PSL’s mission and have made a unique contribution to PSL’s success. No more than five new members are inducted each year, and nominations are submitted by PSL board members, executive directors, team members, and other stakeholders.

This year’s Chairman's Circle inductees are:

Charles E. (Alex) Alexander has been a faithful contributor to the health of Presbyterian Senior Living and Ware Presbyterian Village for 23 years. Since moving to Ware Presbyterian Village, Alex’s contribution to resident life at Ware has been significant. He served in board and committee leadership roles at both the PSL and Ware community levels, including being a member of the Presbyterian Senior Living Board of Trustees. In addition to giving freely of his time and talent, Alex has also given his personal treasure - donating continuously to PSL for the past 23 years. He has invested in the Ware Tranquility Garden, Visionary Endowment DEI fund, Community Enhancement, Steve Proctor Endowment Fund, the unrestricted fund and more.

John J. Bartko and Mary Kay Gentry-Bartko have been a tremendous blessing to Green Ridge Village since joining the community in 2006. John has faithfully served in leadership roles on a variety of committees. His dedication is evident in his countless volunteer hours. Drawing on his experience in the Public Health Service and his longstanding volunteer leadership at Green Ridge Village, John was a principal supporter of the well-being of Green Ridge Village, especially during the challenges of the pandemic. Mary Kay’s contributions have been equally impactful. She has dedicated many volunteer hours and has helped to create welcoming and supportive spaces for residents and visitors alike. Also notable is John and Mary Kay’s generous financial support. They have consistently contributed to areas of identified need, including community enhancements, the library endowment and more.

Elizabeth (Libby) S. Browne has resided at Cathedral Village since December 2011 and has been generous with her time. She served as President of the Cathedral Village Residents’ Association and continues to serve as an ex-officio member of the Cathedral Village Resident Council and Executive Board. A former teacher and linguist, Libby is one of the founding members of and an instructor for Village College. This program offers classes and lectures to residents at Cathedral Village on traditional subjects. This meaningful program contributes greatly to the health and well-being of residents. Libby has been an active donor contributing to the Cathedral 35th Anniversary Campaign, Cathedral Village Staff Education Endowment Fund, Resident Assistance, community enhancements, including the Fitness Center and Green Fund, and the unrestricted fund.

Tai F. Eng and her late husband, Kuen Siu (Chuck) Eng, moved to Ware Presbyterian Village in 2015 and became deeply involved. Tai volunteers her time and talent by participating in photography and art clubs, the auxiliary, and Mahjongg activities. Tai is an integral part of the philanthropic tapestry of Ware. Tai and Chuck established the Eng Scholarship to benefit team members seeking to further their education. In recent years, Tai has given to enhance the Ware community and provided the lead gift to create a beautiful Tranquility Garden in Chuck’s memory. In this serene setting teeming with flora, fauna, and flowing water, visitors can reflect on their thoughts and memories of their loved ones. Tai has invested in other community enhancements and beautification projects as needs and opportunities arise, along with other identified needs.

“This year, we are honored to welcome five remarkable individuals into our Chairman’s Circle, whose time, talent and generosity have strengthened our mission and enriched our communities,” said Dan Davis, president and CEO, Presbyterian Senior Living. “We thank each of them for their unique contributions to PSL’s success, and their shared commitment to our mission.”

Including this year’s class, more than 140 members have been inducted into the Chairman's Circle since its inception.
