White Horse Village Plans Major Improvement Projects
NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. (January 13, 2026) — A multi-million dollar plan to enhance spaces and services for residents is in full swing at White Horse Village, a vibrant senior living community. Several large projects are on tap in 2026.
The community’s Secretariat Plan provides for more than $100 million in investments on the campus, which currently features over 330 residences, including apartments, cottages and larger homes, as well as a Clubhouse and Healthcare Center. Those planned investments target both key maintenance goals and growth for the future.
Over the past summer, White Horse Village rebuilt the Clubhouse front entrance, remodeled the auditorium and indoor pool and spa in the Wellness Center, and improved apartment accessibility.
A kitchen remodel is one of the next major projects planned for 2026. It has been upgraded over the years since the founding of White Horse Village, but it will undergo a comprehensive overhaul slated to wrap up by the end of the year. Work to expand the outdoor dining patio is already underway.
Next on the agenda is the remodel of the Healthcare Center, which has earned recognition as the No. 2 skilled nursing facility in Pennsylvania, according to Newsweek. The community’s comprehensive continuum of care attracts residents seeking peace of mind, knowing supportive services will be available as their needs evolve. To maintain this standard of excellence, the community is investing in a thoughtful modernization of the space. This update will embrace person-centered care principles and create smaller care neighborhoods that provide personalized support in a home-like environment.
“Making sure a community continues to meet the needs of residents takes constant investment,” says President & CEO Michael Shaw. “We’re being proactive to make sure that we’re financially secure into the future, and that the wonderful amenities that residents love remain top-notch.”
