Presbyterian Senior Living Communities Celebrate 2026 Spirit Week

May 29, 2026

Dillsburg, Pa. (May 29, 2026) – Presbyterian Senior Living (PSL), the not-for-profit organization providing residential senior living and care services to more than 6,000 seniors in 27 locations across the mid-Atlantic region of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio and Delaware, commemorated its annual Spirit Week from May 10-16, 2026.Held across Presbyterian Senior Living's full network of communities, PSL Spirit Week is a unified, organization-wide celebration of the inspired joy that defines life at PSL, appreciating the dedicated team members whose work makes it possible, the exceptional care residents receive, and the vibrant, wellness-focused lifestyle embraced by everyone who calls a PSL community home. Coinciding with National Skilled Nursing Care Week, Spirit Week brings each community to life with special events that reflect the deep, meaningful connections at the heart of PSL's mission. This year’s PSL Spirit Week events were inspired by the National Skilled Nursing Care Week theme, “Moments In Bloom.”

Highlights of community activities included:

  • Quincy Village in Waynesboro, Pa. brought the “Moments In Bloom” theme to life with a retro dress day, during which staff and residents wore clothes inspired by the flower child styles of the 1960s and 1970s.

  • Green Ridge Village in Newville, Pa. hosted an “Emotional Wellness in Bloom” celebration. The community welcomed a local Target employee, who provided flowers and joined personal care and health center residents in planting blooms that will brighten the courtyards all summer. Green Ridge Village also hosted a Blessing of the Pets gathering led by Chaplain Troy Howell, welcoming staff, residents, and families to bring their pets for a special blessing and receive a medallion.

  • Pine Run Village and Pine Run Lakeview in Doylestown, Pa concluded a week of nature and flower-themed fun with an outdoor team aerial photo shoot.

  • Glen Meadows in Glen Arm, Md. celebrated with campus-wide team spirit competitions, including air hockey, volleyball, and cornhole tournaments that sparked friendly rivalry and fun across the community. In addition, Glen Meadows independent living residents opened the week with an art exhibit showcasing original works created by residents, including photographs, watercolors, quilts, sweaters, jewelry, paintings, furniture, and more. Each piece told a unique story and highlighted the creativity that thrives within the community.

These celebrations underscored the importance of meaningful engagement in senior living and care. Together, these experiences fostered connection, creativity, emotional wellness, spirituality, and teamwork across Presbyterian Senior Living communities, creating joyful moments for residents, families, and team members alike.
