LeadingAge PA's Fellows in Leadership


Fellows in Leadership is a dynamic LeadingAge PA leadership development opportunity created exclusively for our members. Designed to equip participants with knowledge and skills required to thrive in a new era of aging services, this yearlong LeadingAge PA leadership development program offers a unique educational experience. 

Fellows in Leadership engages participants through;

  • Self-evaluation and assessment
  • Peer-to-peer interaction
  • Skill-building exercises and delineation
  • Live learning opportunities
  • A small setting conducive to a high level of engagement

The Fellows in Leadership program is available to anyone who works for a LeadingAge PA member, irrespective of clinical or managerial experience. It is more important for potential LeadingAge PA Fellows to demonstrate deep leadership potential within their organization than it is for them to carry specific titles

LeadingAge National's Leadership Academy


The Larry Minnix Leadership Academy is a yearlong LeadingAge leadership development program designed to enhance the leadership skills and core competencies of nonprofit leadership within the LeadingAge membership.

The program's graduate level curriculum consists of five face-to-face learning experiences with several components, including:

  • Site visits to LeadingAge member communities
  • Intimate conversations with aging services leaders
  • Self-explorations of leadership styles through exercises and reading

Mid-level Manager Competency Development Guide


A highly competent mid-level manager is critical to the quality and stability of the workforce and to the well-being and safety of individuals who need support while living in residential and community-based settings. However, many employees are promoted into management positions before they receive proper training or develop an understanding of the key competencies that will enable them to be effective managers.
