"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." - Nelson Mandela

As an association, we agree that educating our members and other senior care professionals is a cornerstone to inspiring and facilitating change in senior services. That is why we are excited about the variety of learning opportunities available this year, including our new learning portal!

With the LeadingAge PA Learning Portal, senior services professionals are able to expand their knowledge and partake in recorded webinars for training and informational purposes, access different resources, such as toolkits and trainings, and obtain continuing education credits.  All of the recordings and resources are grouped into three categories—accredited recordings, nonaccredited recordings, and toolkits, trainings, and resources—allowing users to easily navigate to the learning experience they are in search of.

Accredited recordings

This category of 10 webinars (and growing!) offers continuing education credits. These self-led courses within our learning management system require learners to complete an assessment after viewing the recording. With these sessions, you are able to earn continuing education credits on your own time!

Nonaccredited recordings

Our popular series of live webinars are now available as recordings! These webinars, which are available for free to all LeadingAge PA provider members—and for a nominal fee to nonmembers, are the ones to explore if you want to learn about a specific topic or catch a webinar that you missed.

Toolkits, trainings, and resources

In this group, senior services professionals can download resources, such as our mentoring program and our Fellows in Leadership Alumni Council Day of Exploring summation booklet. We are also excited to offer our new Management Basics series, which focuses on critical management skills such as conflict management, conducting a performance review, and building staff morale. These trainings are designed for an individual at any level of an organization, whether they are a new manager, aspire to be in management, or are currently in a leadership role. The first module, “Management Basics: People Skills,” is now available. Future offerings in this section will include additional modules in the Management Basics curriculum, as well as LeadingAge PA-developed toolkits, like the Internship Toolkit.

Our learning portal is here to provide you with important training and resources.  Start exploring today to discover its various educational opportunities and to start changing senior services, one lesson at a time!
