MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (Feb. 9, 2021) - LeadingAge PA President and CEO Adam Marles today renewed his call initially made last week for Gov. Tom Wolf to form a broader task force to look at ways to quickly improve Pennsylvania's vaccination plan.

"This is a good first step, but we continue to believe LeadingAge PA can be part of the solution and help expedite vaccination of our most vulnerable residents, hopefully slowing the spread of COVID-19 and reducing infection rates," Marles said. "Today's announcement of an emergency task force should include representatives from the Department of Health, pharmacy providers, organizers of the retail pharmacy rollout program, and those providing housing and services to older adults. Pennsylvania currently ranks near the bottom in the country in distribution. Experts should be at the table to help with this unprecedented and historic mission."
