Foulkeways at Gwynedd

Gwynedd, PA

Be part of a values-driven Life Plan Community that has set standards of excellence in retirement living since 1967!

Foulkeways at Gwynedd was the first Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Pennsylvania and the first Quaker CCRC in the United States when we opened our doors in 1967. With over 50-years serving the aging population, we continue to reflect the Quaker ideals of friendship, dignity and respect for all our residents and diverse staff.

We are currently searching for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and resident-centered Director of Nursing (DON) to join our leadership team.

As the DON for the community, the chosen candidate has the responsibility to organize, supervise, administer, evaluate and direct the total nursing service program in our Skilled Nursing neighborhood. The DON is expected to ensure that the quality of care provided to the residents is consistent with the Foulkeways mission and philosophies, while assuring compliance with professional standards of care and federal/state/local regulations. We strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment where every resident has the right to independence and companionship..

In partnership with other departments, the DON will work to foster and cultivate relationships and a sense of community among all residents and team members through leadership, empowerment and innovation. The DON will connect frequently with residents, family members and employees to ensure accurate communication of necessary and important information or messages. In addition, the DON will oversee the staffing efforts of the skilled nursing and personal care programs, as well as be an active participant in recruitment and retention initiatives. The DON will also participate in many important operation functions, including, but not limited to, budgeting, preparing and managing regulatory/licensure inspections, and committee meetings.

The DON of Foulkeways will promote the mission and values of Foulkeways and will assist in the creation of a culture that celebrates diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
