As a Medicare/Insurance Coordinator- Part A, you will carry out our Mission of Love by verifying insurance benefits, and billing and collections from Medicare and commercial insurers.

Our Medicare/Insurance Coordinator - Part A is responsible for the following:

  • Daily census processing, payer set up & tracking of Part A days
  • Responsible to validate available insurance benefits and clearly communicate regarding coverage and benefits
  • Working knowledge of NOMNCs, ABNs, MSP, Medicare demand bills and the appeal process
  • Responsible for triple check process for Part A claims and reporting to compliance committee; tracking of information for PS&R reconciliation
  • Responsible for accurate and timely billing, cash application and A/R follow up for Medicare and commercial claims, including investigation and resolution of claims as necessary
  • Responsible to clearly communicate with staff and residents at Masonic Village regarding when benefits are inadequate, or will end, as well as plan contracts and participation. Provide excellent customer service to residents and families during open enrollment.
  • Review and process medical invoices in accordance with consolidated billing regulations, and include charges on Part A bills as necessary
  • Ability to work independently and problem-solve

What You Have:

  • Strong understanding of Medicare/Medicaid regulations for skilled nursing facility & consolidated billing.
  • Strong understanding of Medicare and Managed Care enrollment guidelines
  • Accounting degree preferred; five years of Medicare billing experience required
  • Technical proficiency with billing software and Microsoft office; experience with Point Click Care preferred
  • Experience with Waystar, Ability, Navinet, and related websites required
