Nursing facilities must maintain a coordinated, facility-wide program for surveillance, identification, prevention, control and investigation of infectious and communicable diseases.  Residents are at a high risk of developing severe illness from COVID-19 and other infectious diseases.  This presentation will review federal infection control regulations and newly published guidance, CDC Enhanced Barrier Precautions, commonly cited deficiencies, and strategies to maintain compliance with infection control regulations.
