HARRISBURG, Pa. (Oct. 7, 2020) - Adam Marles, president and CEO of LeadingAge PA, the voice for quality senior care in Pennsylvania, today thanked the Senate for passing legislation that creates a path to certification for temporary nurse aides who have demonstrated competency and commitment to aging services, and asked the House to concur by approving Senate Bill 1268.

"LeadingAge PA thanks Sen. Judy Ward for sponsoring legislation that would allow temporary nurse aides to continue their selfless work of compassionately caring for the commonwealth's most vulnerable citizens, and the Senate for unanimously passing it. These individuals have proven they can successfully provide temporary nurse aide care to nursing facility residents and have been true heroes during the COVID-19 pandemic."
