This presentation will discuss lessons learned from a pragmatic clinical trial conducted with a national sample of senior living communities. Presenters will describe the staff training process used across different communities, highlight specific training methods that promoted staff engagement, and contextualize these strategies in the context of prioritized outcomes (e.g., staff knowledge about dementia, adoption of dementia care strategies). The presenters will share recommendations for successful implementation of dementia care, which can inform community-specific strategies for staff training.
