LeadingAge PA Welcomes Three New Members to its Board of Directors, Promoting Growth and Innovation

MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (June 30, 2026) — LeadingAge PA announced today the appointment of new members to its Board of Directors. Focused on growth and innovation in the aging services sector, the association believes these additions will help guide future support for providers and amplify ongoing advocacy efforts.

The newly appointed board members are:

  • Jennifer Kappen, Senior Vice President of Affordable Housing at HumanGood
  • Dyan McAlister, CPA, MIM, Chief Finance and Strategy Officer at Presbyterian Senior Living
  • Amy Young, Vice President of Business Development at Wagman Construction

In addition to these new appointments, Michael Falbo, CFO at Concordia, was elected to serve as Treasurer.

“As the needs of older adults and the aging services sector continue to evolve, strong leadership is more important than ever,” said Board of Directors Chair William Kingsbury. “These new Board members bring valuable experience and fresh perspectives that will help shape our work in the years ahead. Together, we'll continue to advance policies, strengthen our member community, and ensure older Pennsylvanians have access to the high-quality care and services they deserve.”

With more than 20 years of experience in senior living and nonprofit financial leadership, Jennifer Kappen serves as the Senior Vice President of Affordable Housing at HumanGood. In her role, Kappen has driven strategic growth, increased access to affordable housing, and improved services for seniors. She has played a key role in developing and renovating numerous communities and has supported initiatives for residents experiencing homelessness through HUD preference programs and innovative funding strategies for new developments.

Dyan McAlister, CPA, MIM, is the Chief Finance and Strategy Officer at Presbyterian Senior Living, leading enterprise efforts in finance, strategic planning, capital development, and organizational transformation. With 27 years of experience in nonprofit healthcare and aging services, McAlister has built a career centered on financial stewardship, strategic growth, operational optimization, and governance. She is recognized for cultivating strong relationships with boards, executive teams, and external partners while advancing innovative solutions in aging services.

Amy Young serves as Vice President of Business Development at Wagman Construction, bringing over 21 years of dedicated experience in the aging services sector and more than a decade of leadership in the construction industry. A former nursing home administrator and executive director, Young offers a unique dual perspective on both the operational challenges providers face and the strategic development of high-quality, sustainable environments for older adults.
