LIVE Lunch and Learn

Register

Workforce challenges in aging services are a daily reality, and as America’s population continues to age, by 2040 about one in five Americans will be age 65 or older; the need to develop solutions is increasingly urgent. This webinar will discuss immigration policy advocacy efforts in the context of LeadingAge National’s overall workforce policy approach and will introduce LeadingAge National's Immigration Advancement Project (IAP).

This initiative, focused on the intersection of federal immigration policy and the LTSS direct care workforce, seeks to raise awareness among key stakeholders of foreign-born workers’ valuable contributions to the sector. Attendees will learn about the IAP goals and operations, how Pennsylvania members can get involved, and, critically, how to comfortably engage with local and national media as an advocacy tool to advance the IAP mission. This session will equip members with practical skills to elevate their voices and strengthen LeadingAge's collective impact on Capitol Hill and beyond.
